The compiler of The (New) Cadillac Database© is grateful to these other Cadillac aficionados, John Barach and Al Betker who have done an EXCELLENT job of researching Eldorado history from the beginnings, in 1952, until today.

Rather than duplicate John's work [which, in all due modesty, I doubt that I could], it is my pleasure to direct you to his fine Web sites:

John Barach's Cadillac and La Salle History Pages
Al Betker's Maximum Torque Specialties

By completing his treatise on the second (and third) generation Eldorado models, John has unknowingly saved me considerable time and effort that I will now be able to devote to my other favorite Cadillac models - the fabulous sixteen-cylinder cars that were made from 1930 through 1940.
