Part 2
1968 - 1979

From 1967 through 1970, Jo-Han offered
three basic Cadillac styles in 1:25 scale: the De Ville coupe
and convertible, and the Eldorado front-wheel-drive coupe; above is the De
Ville coupe for 1968 [#1668]
|

Here is the 1968 De Ville
convertible by Jo-Han
|

The Eldorado front-wheel-drive coupe by Jo-Han
for 1968 [#2468]
differs from the 1967 model by the circular, rear fender marker light
|

This conversion of mine from Jo-Han's 1968 Eldorado
coupe model is intended to depict
Bill Mitchell's custom Towne Car [for greater authenticity, it should have
1969 wheel covers]
|

The year 1969 was represented again by two De
Ville and one Eldorado model;
above is the De Ville coupe for 1969 [#1269]
|

Here we see Jo-Han's 1969 De Ville
convertible
|

Compared with the 1967 and 1968 editions, the 1969
Eldorado coupe has a fine textured egg-crate grille [Jo-Han
#1869]
|

Jo-Han issued three models again in 1970:
the De Ville coupe and convertible,
and the Eldorado coupe; this is the De Ville coupe
|

I had some camera problems, as you can see; the tail
of this Jo-Han 1:25 scale 1970 De Ville convertible [above]
and that of the 1970 Eldorado coupe [below] got accidentally cut off; I
shall try to find better images;
the difference in color is due to natural light (left) and artificial lighting
(right)
|

Jo-Han's front-wheel-drive Eldorado
coupe for 1970 carried Ref. #1270
Once again, the image on the right got accidentally shortened
|

The 1971 Cadillacs were represented in 1:25th scale
by Jo-Han's front-wheel-drive
Eldorado coupe [#C114:2]; no De Ville models were made again until 1977
|

This 1971 Eldorado convertible was
re-modeled by me from Jo-Han's 1971 Eldorado coupe
|

This is Jo-Han's 1:25 scale Eldorado
coupe for 1972
|

Once again, I re-modeled this 1972 Eldorado
convertible from Jo-Han's coupe for that year
|

One more Eldorado coupe from Jo-Han
in the Gold Cup series, this one from 1973 [#GC2300]
|

This is my own conversion of Jo-Han's 1:25
scale Eldorado coupe, to depict the convertible model for 1973
|

Another Jo-Han's 1:25 scale Eldorado
coupe; this one for 1974...
The sun-roof had become optionally available on the Eldorado models in 1972
|

...and yet another Eldorado convertible
[1974 edition], remodeled from the Jo-Han coupe
|

The penultimate front-wheel-drive Eldorado
model from Jo-Han was this 1975 coupe (again with optional sun roof)
|

I converted the preceding coupe to create the Eldorado
convertible for 1975
|

This is the last of the front-wheel-drive Eldorado
models by Jo-Han; it is the 1976 model [#36]
for greater authenticity, the wheel cover centers might do with being painted black
|

I believe Jo-Han actually made a convertible
Eldorado model for 1976 [#32 ???];
This one, however, is my own conversion of that year's coupe model
Again, for greater authenticity, the wheel cover centers might do with being
painted black

low-rider version) ]
|

For 1977, Jo-Jan re-introduced the De
Ville coupe model in 1:25 scale
|

The "last" Cadillac convertible was built
in 1976 [...that is until it re-appeared in 1984!]
A number of independent coach builders sought immediately to perpetuate the
tradition of the Cadillac convertible;
this is a conversion I did from Jo-Han's 1977 De Ville coupe; it depicts
the bespoke Selina model

|

The last Jo-Han promotional replica in 1:25
scale was this 1979 Cadillac De Ville coupe;
What a pity! I'm sure they would have done wonders for the bustle-back Seville of
1980-1985
as well as for the sporty Allanté roadsters of the nineties
|

My final conversion of a Jo-Han model was
this imaginary T-Top De Ville coupe
|

Another amateur conversion with
realisic Phaeton roof padding
